IT SOFIE

Workshop, confusion and Ascenda AB
Ok, gals and boys!

Today I was up really really early, and I had a really hard time to actually take my butt out of bed, but ... I did. When ready I headed out to Gothia towers in Gothenburg for a day of code and inspiration with Ascenda AB, a company that I´m working with on a project (It also a part of my education to become a systemdeveloper, and I get graded on my work).

Anyhow this company is working in the IT fields as consultant among some other things and are really good at coding adn when I contacted them in february, they were happy to work with me and I gave them the right to plan the project for me. Soo here I am today and starting the project with an all-day-workshop to get a hang on things that I´m supposed to do. I know what I´m supposed to do, but not how to do it and hope that I´m gonna be a little bit more clever after this day.

The three guys that are running Ascenda AB is really cool and nice guys that are really good at what they do. I hope one day that I´m going to be as good as them, or at least less confused. The project is about creating a web api that helps Ascenda AB with their cloudservices sooo it´s most backend coding, but it´s gonna be great if I can get it to work witch I hope I can.

The day started in a conferenceroom at Gothia towers hotel with Patrik, Johan and Daniel. We started with creating my accounts at different sides that they needed me to have. Github (witch is a webplace were you can share code with others) is one of them. Then me and Patrik started to create the means I need to do my part of the project, or Patrik did a lot of work and educated me in what he did and I spend the time before lunch mostly listening and learning.

We had a really good lunch at heaven 23, wich is in the top of the first tower, then after a good lunch and a glass of wine (it actually felt as a really businessdinner, one that I never been at, so that was cool).  Anyhow after lunch we continued with the work, now work was to connect the different parts to eachother soo I could start my work, when the guys have given my task to me.

In the late afternoon we started to get tired all of us, but we have got a good start on the project and I have learned a lot about coding but the biggest learning is that I actually just know a extreme little bit of C#, but project is probably gonna learn me a lot.

We ended the day with a celebratory beer for the guys and a glass of wine for me!

Bye bye my darlings!
